In Queensland, going from Green P (P2) to an Open licence is largely a waiting game with good behaviour.

If you’re under 25, you must hold P2 for 24 months; if you’re 25 or older when you got your P plates, it’s 12 months.

Keep your record clean (no suspensions or disqualifications) and then upgrade—usually no extra test, just the application and fee with TMR.

Be patient, drive sensibly, and soon you’ll graduate to an Open licence without the L‑plate nostalgia tour.
