green ps hazard test Page 378

Chasing your Green Ps (P2) in NSW? You’ll need to pass the Hazard Perception Test (HPT), a computer-based exam using short driving clips where you respond to developing hazards—less lead foot, more crystal-ball eyeballs.

It’s about spotting trouble early and choosing safe gaps, not panic-clicking like a seagull at a hot chip. Book the HPT through Service NSW, bring your licence and a payment method, and keep calm—the scenarios are everyday stuff: merging, intersections, tailgaters. Practise good habits on real roads: look far ahead, keep space, and lift off the throttle before the drama starts. Pass it, and you’re a big step closer to those soothing green plates; muck it up, and you can try again after you regroup and remember what indicators are for.
