grey in australia

In Australia, the correct spelling is grey, not “gray”—we leave that to the Yanks along with their gallons and sidewalks.

Style guides, road rules, and car paint names here all default to grey, so you won’t look daft using it in a listing or an email to your mechanic.

“Gray” will still be understood, of course, but it reads like a rental Corolla with an American sat-nav barking the wrong turns.

So there it is: write grey, drink your flat white, and carry on.
