gtr stand for Page 90

In car-speak, GTR generally means Gran Turismo Racer (often read as Gran Turismo Racing)—the spicy, track-leaning twist on a grand tourer.

Think Nissan GT‑R, BMW M3 GTR, or McLaren F1 GTR: badges that basically say “bring a helmet and a spare spine.”

There isn’t one universal definition, but the vibe is consistent: more power, sharper handling, fewer frills, and three letters doing a lot of shouting.

So yes, GTR is part engineering, part mythology, and all swagger—usually attached to something properly rapid.
