haval vs mg 2023 Page 16

Ah, the battle of the Chinese imports on Aussie soil: Haval versus MG in 2023. Both brands aim to charm with affordable SUVs, but they’re quite different beasts.

• Haval: Known for spacious interiors and a smooth ride, it offers good tech and safety features, but sometimes the build quality feels a tad hit-and-miss.
• MG: Typically sharper styling, decent performance, and a bit more refinement under the hood, though rear passenger space can be a squeeze.

Prices for new models range roughly from AUD 25,000 to 40,000, with used examples available on CarShowroom and Tradingpost for less. Both come with decent warranties—worth checking the fine print. Bottom line? Pick Haval if you want space and comfort; MG if you prefer style and driving feel. But remember, neither is perfect, so a good test drive is mandatory.
