hilux won't start Page 389

Ah, the old "Hilux won't start" conundrum—Australia's unofficial national pastime. Before you call for a tow, check these usual suspects:

• Dead or weak battery (common culprit, especially after a weekend of neglect).
• Faulty starter motor (click-click, no crank? Suspect this one).
• Fuel delivery issues—could be clogged filters or a failing fuel pump.
• Ignition switch or immobilizer problems (modern Hiluxes love their security).

For a proper diagnosis and parts, pop over to ServiceCentral or Tradingpost to find local help and parts. If you want to avoid being stranded, keep your battery and fuel system in check regularly.
