honda barossa Page 40

The Honda Barossa is an intriguing beast from the late '80s to early '90s, a dual-sport motorcycle that dared to blend on-road practicality with off-road ruggedness. Sporting a 223cc single-cylinder engine, it churns out a humble yet spirited power fit for both city streets and dirt trails. Weighing in at around 138 kg, it's nimble enough for beginners but quirky enough to keep seasoned riders entertained.

New, these would have been wallet-friendly, but nowadays, expect to hunt for used models on sites like Tradingpost, where prices typically range from $2,000 to $4,000 AUD depending on condition and mileage. Common issues to watch for include:

• Carburetor gumming due to age
• Electrical gremlins, especially with the stator
• Worn suspension components

For the truly adventurous with a taste for vintage charm, the Barossa holds a quirky appeal. Consult official Honda manuals or specialist forums for detailed specs and maintenance tips.
