The Honda Civic’s sparring partner from Kia is the Cerato (called the Forte in some places, but not around here).
They’re both small hatch/sedan commuters, but the Kia plays the value card: a 7-year warranty, plenty of kit, and a choice of a 2.0-litre petrol or a punchier 1.6‑litre turbo in the GT.
The Civic counters with sharper handling, a classier cabin, and in Australia a fuel-sipping hybrid option—plus the bonkers Type R if you fancy a wing the size of Tasmania.
In short: Cerato = affordable and roomy; Civic = polished and pricey. Pick your poison.
