Ah, Hornsby Heights at Christmas—a veritable winter wonderland for light enthusiasts and festive gluttons alike. Every year, residents deck out their homes with dazzling displays that could shame the Sydney Harbour Bridge's New Year's Eve fireworks. Expect extravagant light shows synchronized to music, inflatable Santas doing acrobatics, and enough tinsel to choke a reindeer. If you want to catch the spectacle, best to wander around on foot or drive slowly in the evenings throughout December. For those less patient, local community groups often publish maps and schedules, so you don't miss the brightest stars of the suburb. Don't forget to bring your festive cheer and maybe a few coins for the chook raffle.
