hound

Ah, the noble hound—man's best friend if you fancy a canine that’s part bloodhound, part elegant snarler. These dogs are bred primarily for hunting, tracking, and sometimes just being gloriously loud in the bush. Expect a hound to have a keen sense of smell, strong endurance, and often a distinctive baying bark that’ll ruin your neighbourly relations. Popular hound breeds include Beagles, Bloodhounds, and Greyhounds—each with unique traits ranging from relentless pursuit to blistering speed. For those after a pedigree or a rambunctious companion, PuppyList might have your next four-legged troublemaker. Remember, owning a hound is less about counting sheep and more about chasing them.
