Checking your rego in Australia is easier than finding a decent pie at a servo after 10 pm. Head to your state or territory authority’s online rego check (Service NSW, VicRoads, TMR QLD, SA’s EzyReg, WA Transport, Access Canberra, TAS Transport, or NT MVR) and punch in the plate or VIN. You’ll see status, expiry, CTP insurer and the sort of fine-print that saves awkward chats at roadside stops. Want extra homework? Run a PPSR check to see if it’s stolen or still under finance before you hand over cash for a used car.
And no, you don’t need a rego label—this isn’t 2009. Job done, wheels legal.
