how far can tyres stick out qld Page 25

In Queensland, the law is quite clear about your tyre's audacity to stick out from your vehicle's bodywork. Tyres can protrude a maximum of 50mm beyond the guard or bodywork when viewed from the side, ensuring you don't turn your car into a rolling hazard. This regulation aims to prevent damage to other road users and keep your vehicle roadworthy. Overshooting this limit might land you a fine or a failed safety inspection, as the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads enforces these rules rigorously.
