how long do paypal payments take Page 365

Most PayPal payments land in the recipient’s PayPal balance instantly, faster than you can say “mates rates.” If you’re paying by card or existing PayPal balance, the recipient usually sees it straight away; withdrawing to an Aussie bank account typically takes 1–2 business days (longer over weekends and public holidays). Bank-funded eCheques are the slowpokes, taking about 3–5 business days to clear, sometimes up to 7. New sellers, large amounts, or “spicy” transactions can be put on hold for up to 21 days while PayPal does its belt-and-braces risk dance. International payments are much the same, but currency conversion and local bank speeds can add an extra day or two. In short: instant to receive, a day or three to hit the bank, and longer if the robots get nervous.
