In Victoria, green P plates (the P2 licence) are held for three years before you can move to a full licence. That clock pauses if you’re suspended or disqualified—time out doesn’t count. You’ll step up from red P1 to green P2 when eligible, then it’s simply three years of clean driving and grown-up restraint. Different ages can start on different P stages, but the green stint stays three years either way. If in doubt, check the latest from VicRoads before you argue with the counter staff.
