In Victoria, Green P plates (P2) are held for 3 years. If you got your Ps under 21, you serve 12 months on Red P1 first, then switch to Green P2 for three years. If you were 21 or older at the test, you skip P1 and go straight to three years on P2. Any suspensions, cancellations or serious infringements can extend that clock like a bad encore. Keep it tidy and you’ll roll onto a full licence right on schedule.
