how much will my holden service cost Page 38

Short answer: it depends which Holden and how pampered you want it.

As a ballpark, a minor service (oil, filters, basic checks) at an independent is usually $220–$400, while dealers tend to be $350–$550.

A major service with plugs, fluids and broader inspections can land around $600–$1,200 (more for V6/V8s or anything with tight packaging).

Big-ticket extras—timing belt jobs on belt‑driven engines ($700–$1,500), brakes ($300–$900 per axle), or auto transmission services ($250–$450)—are on top.

Holden’s gone but parts and know‑how linger on, so shop around, ask for an itemised quote, and avoid “mystery diagnostics” without approval.

Your wallet will thank you, even if your right foot still refuses to.
