how to check ancap rating Page 148

Want to check an ANCAP rating without becoming the crash-test dummy? Head to the ANCAP website, enter the make, model and year, and select the exact variant—ratings can change with engine or safety packs.

Make sure the result matches your car’s build date; a five-star from 2015 isn’t the same as a five-star today.

On the model page, note the star score, the test year, and safety tech like AEB, lane support and airbags listed out.

Buying used? Cross-check the VIN/variant, and remember grey imports or some trims may be unrated.

At dealerships you might spot an ANCAP window label, but always confirm online before parting with your hard-earned.
