how to get a compliance plate qld Page 4

Ah, the elusive compliance plate in Queensland—a tiny metal badge that says, "Yes, this vehicle meets all the legal mumbo jumbo." To get one, you typically need to have your vehicle inspected by an authorised engineer or inspection station approved by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.

For imported or modified vehicles, this involves submitting paperwork proving the vehicle meets Australian Design Rules (ADRs). Once approved, the compliance plate is fitted to your vehicle by the certifier.

Don't expect it to be free; fees vary depending on the complexity and whether you need modifications or repairs.

For more detailed info and appointments, check out ServiceCentral or the Queensland Department's official site—because paperwork waits for no one.
