In Queensland, you need to be at least 16, pass the road rules test, prove your identity, pass an eyesight check, pay the fee, and then you’ll get a Class C learner licence.
Display L-plates, keep BAC at 0.00, and drive only with a supervisor who holds an open licence.
If you’re under 25, log at least 100 hours (including 10 at night) and hold your learners for 12 months before going for your P plates.
You must also pass the Hazard Perception Test before booking the practical driving test.
Over-25s have different logbook/holding requirements, but the supervision and zero BAC rules still apply.
Double-check current TMR guidance before you book—policies change faster than a learner’s clutch foot.
