There’s no such thing as a “pink slip licence” in Australia— in NSW a Pink Slip is an eSafety check for renewing your car’s rego once it’s over five years old. To get one, book into an authorised inspection station (read: a participating mechanic) and they’ll check the basics—brakes, lights, tyres, leaks, the usual suspects.
If it passes, the result is lodged online with Transport for NSW and you can pay your rego and CTP; if it fails, fix the faults and return within 14 days for a free re‑inspection at the same place. Expect to pay roughly $45–$50 for the check, depending on the current set fee. If you meant a driver licence, that’s a different circus—Ls test, hazard perception, logbook hours, then Ps via Service NSW. Paperwork first; heroics later.
