Ah, the coveted L plates in Queensland, the rite of passage for every fledgling driver. To get your learner's licence, you’ll need to pass the online knowledge test covering road rules and safety. Once you ace that, you get your learner's permit, which lets you slap those L plates on and start the slow crawl to driving competence. You must display L plates on the front and back of your car at all times while driving. Remember, you’ll need to log at least 100 hours of supervised driving (including 10 hours at night) before you can sit the practical driving test to graduate to P plates.
For the most current details and forms, consult the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads or check out CarShowroom for vehicles ready to sport those L plates.
