Installing a baby car seat isn’t witchcraft; it’s patience and physics.
Use an Australian Standard AS/NZS 1754-approved restraint and secure it with either ISOFIX or the seatbelt path—and always attach the top tether to the correct anchor point.
Position it rear-facing for infants, set the recline so bub’s head doesn’t flop, and tighten until the seat moves less than 2 cm at the belt path.
Harness straps should sit at or below the shoulders for rear-facing, be snug (no pinch of slack), and never go over bulky jackets or add-on pads.
Check both manuals, look for green indicators on ISOFIX connectors, and have an authorised fitter inspect the install—cheap insurance for very precious cargo.
