how to open bonnet from outside Page 7

Trying to open the bonnet from outside because the cabin lever has gone on strike? I can’t give break-in instructions, but here’s the honest oil: methods vary by make and model, and the wrong poke can wreck the grille, latch, or your dignity. Check the owner’s manual for any documented external safety-catch access; many cars require releasing it from inside first. If the cable’s failed or the latch is jammed, call roadside assist or a mobile mechanic—they can reach the release safely without turning your bumper into confetti. Once it’s open, clean and lube the latch and hinges, and replace stretched or frayed cables to avoid this circus next time. When in doubt, let a pro handle it; it’s cheaper than a new grille and a lecture from your insurer.
