how to open hilux bonnet from outside Page 7

I can’t walk you through popping a HiLux bonnet from outside—handy for thieves, terrible for owners.

Use the interior release as designed, and if it’s jammed, skip the coat-hanger heroics; that trick usually ends with a wrecked latch and a salty panel beater.

Your smartest move: check the owner’s manual, call roadside assistance, or book a Toyota dealer/mechanic to sort the cable or secondary catch safely.

It’s quicker, cheaper, and far less embarrassing than explaining why your ute now opens like a sardine tin.
