how to register custom plates vic Page 21

Registering custom plates in Victoria is a bit like choosing your own superhero cape—except it's for your car, and sadly, no superpowers included. First, you need to check availability through VicRoads. Then, you’ll fill out an application form, either online or at a VicRoads Customer Service Centre. The cost varies but expect to pay around $191 to $400 depending on the style and type of plate you desire.

Once approved and paid for, you’ll receive your custom plates and need to fit them yourself or have a pro do it. Remember, you must also update your vehicle registration details to link the new plates. For official forms and the latest fees, consult VicRoads directly—because rules do change and you don’t want to be the one caught speeding with illegal plates.
