Act quick—the acids in bird droppings can etch paint and fabrics faster than you can say swoop. Soak the spot with warm water or a pH‑neutral cleaner/quick detailer for 1–2 minutes, then lift it off gently with a soft microfibre—no scrubbing, hero. On paint or glass, if faint marks remain, use a mild clay bar, follow with a light polish to reduce etching, and finish with wax or sealant for protection.
On fabrics, dab with an enzyme pre‑treat or cold water plus a drop of dish soap, rinse, then blot—avoid hot water or you’ll set the stain. For porous stone or concrete, skip vinegar and other acids; use a pH‑neutral stone cleaner, rinse well, and let it dry before judging the result. Whatever the surface, test in a discreet spot first, wash your hands, and keep a small spray bottle and microfibre in the car like the prepared genius you are.
