hybrid corolla hatch fuel consumption Page 848

Chasing the fuel thirst of the Toyota Corolla Hybrid hatch? Official ADR combined figure sits around 4.0–4.2 L/100 km for recent Australian models, which is less “guzzling” and more “sipping a long black.” In the real world you’ll usually see 4.5–5.0 L/100 km around town if you’re gentle, and a touch higher if you treat every green light like Bathurst qualifying. Highway runs can dip into the high 3s when the battery lends a hand and the wind’s on your side. As ever, tyre choice, traffic, and how heavy your right foot is will doodle all over the numbers. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
