hydrogen fuel station australia Page 3

In Australia, public hydrogen refuelling is about as common as a unicorn at a servo—there are only a handful of pilot or fleet-only sites. You’ll find limited access around Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, but most are restricted to government or commercial fleets, not random Mirai or Nexo owners on a Sunday jaunt. Passenger cars typically need 700-bar pumps; many local sites are 350-bar for buses or trucks, so compatibility can scuttle your plans. Plan ahead: contact the station operator or your car’s importer to confirm access, pressure rating and payment, otherwise you’ll be calling a flatbed instead of saving the planet. For now, hydrogen motoring here is a trial-by-invite affair, so treat range estimates conservatively and keep a petrol backup for road trips.
