hyundai iload petrol problems Page 3

The petrol iLoad is the simple sibling—no diesel soot politics—but time and heat still try their luck. Most headaches are garden‑variety and fixable without summoning a high priest of diagnostics.

• Ignition coils and spark plugs causing misfire or rough idle
• Rocker cover gasket oil leaks onto the exhaust manifold
• Timing chain/tensioner rattle on cold start if oil changes are skipped
• Gummed throttle body or idle control causing stalling at lights
• Oxygen sensor and catalytic converter damage after prolonged misfire
• Thirsty under load; LPG conversions need spot‑on tuning to avoid backfires and valve seat wear
• Cooling neglect (radiator, water pump, hoses) leading to overheating

Listen for cold-start rattles, check for oil mist around the cam cover, and scan for misfire codes before you hand over cash. A tidy service history turns the petrol iLoad into a faithful pack mule rather than a roadside raconteur.
