hyundai ix35 2016 review

If you’re eyeing a 2016 Hyundai ix35, you’re looking at the last of the line—sensible shoes in SUV form.

It’s roomy, easy to park, and comfy enough, but the drive is more “school run” than “scenic detour,” with light steering and a calm—but not exciting—engine vibe.

Tech feels dated now (basic infotainment, acceptable cameras on later trims), yet ownership costs are friendly and it’s hardly a fuel guzzler.

Safety was solid for its era with a 5‑star ANCAP rating at the time and the usual stability aids, and some trims scored AWD for gravel-road confidence.

As a used buy, check service history and tyre/suspension wear; do that and you’ll get a dependable, no‑drama commuter with a big boot and small ego.
