illegal car mods victoria Page 12

Ah, illegal car mods in Victoria — the forbidden fruit of Aussie car culture. Victoria's VicRoads has a firm grip on what you can and can't do to your ride. Common illegal modifications include:

• Excessive window tint beyond legal limits
• Non-compliant exhaust systems that are too loud
• Altering suspension beyond approved limits
• Using non-approved lighting or coloured headlights
• Removing or tampering with emission controls

Getting caught with these can lead to fines, vehicle defect notices, or even impoundment. For the full list and legal details, consult VicRoads or ServiceCentral for compliance checks.
