That message means the car’s anti-theft brain doesn’t trust your key, your battery, or frankly anything at all. It won’t authorise fuel or spark, so starting becomes more “driveway sculpture” than “transport.” Try a spare key, swap the key fob battery, lock/unlock the car, and make sure the 12‑V battery isn’t flatter than a week-old lemonade. If it persists, you’ll need a scan tool and likely a dealer or specialist to re-pair keys or modules.
Don’t keep cranking; some systems lock down harder. Tow it if needed—and bring every key you own.
