Ah, the iconic Toyota from Initial D, a cultural touchstone for petrolheads and anime fans alike. The star of the show is none other than the Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno, a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive coupe famed for its razor-sharp handling and drifting prowess. Packing a modest 1.6-litre inline-4 engine pushing out about 130 horsepower, it’s not about brute force but pure driving finesse. New, these are extinct relics with prices soaring into the tens of thousands of AUD on collectors’ markets like Tradingpost, while used examples vary wildly but expect to cough up a pretty penny for one in decent nick. The AE86 is the stuff of legend, but if you're hunting for one, CarShowroom might have some gems, and ServiceCentral can help keep the old beast running. Consult official specs for more precise details.
