Jack Brabham, an Aussie legend, wasn’t just a bloke who drove fast cars—he was the first and only man to win a Formula One World Championship in a car bearing his own name. Born in 1926, Brabham clinched the F1 titles in 1959, 1960, and 1966. His 1966 championship win is particularly cheeky, achieved at the ripe old age of 40, proving age is just a number unless you’re a young pretender. Beyond racing, he founded the Brabham racing team, which made waves in motorsport history. For a dose of true Down Under racing mojo, Jack Brabham is your man.
