kakadu what to do Page 3

Kakadu isn’t a theme park; it’s a living art gallery with crocodiles patrolling the aisles. Do Ubirr at sunset and Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) by day for rock art and views that make your phone think it’s a camera. Cruise Yellow Water at dawn for birds and serenity, or tackle Jim Jim/Twin Falls in the Dry with a proper 4WD and a sense of humour.

In the Wet, chase thundering waterfalls; in the Dry, it’s billabongs, walks, and stars that look Photoshopped. Grab a Kakadu park pass, check seasonal road closures, and obey croc signs—salties don’t do second chances. Pack water, hat, patience, and let country and culture do the talking.
