kia carnival vs mazda cx 9 Page 4

The Kia Carnival is a proper people mover with sliding doors and cavernous cargo space; the Mazda CX-9 is a plush seven-seat SUV with tidier road manners. Carnival pros: huge boot, eight-seat flexibility, family-friendly sliding doors, and a frugal 2.2-litre diesel option; cons: it's a big unit to park and there's no AWD. CX-9 pros: premium cabin, sharp handling for its size, torquey 2.5-litre turbo petrol, and available AWD; cons: a tighter third row and boot, plus higher fuel use than the Carnival diesel. Towing is roughly 2,000 kg braked for both, and recent models pack generous safety tech. If school runs, prams and cubic metres are your life, the Kia favours sheer space and convenience; if you prefer SUV style and dynamics, the Mazda plays to that brief. Test-drive with the full crew and pram to see which one preserves your sanity.
