kia cerato pros and cons Page 2

The Kia Cerato is Australia’s budget-friendly hatch/sedan that punches above its weight without pretending to be a luxury limo. Pros: a long 7‑year warranty, generous features for the money, decent ride/quietness in non-sport trims, and a GT that’s properly lively for school‑run heroics. Cons: the base 2.0‑litre is merely adequate and gets gruff when pushed, some cabin plastics feel bargain‑bin, and tyre roar on coarse‑chip bitumen can gatecrash the conversation. Active safety is broadly covered, but the tastier driver aids are tied to higher trims and option packs, so check the spec sheet twice. If you want cheap to own, easy to park, and reliable, it’s a smart bet; if you crave fireworks, you’ll want the GT—or a different class altogether.
