kia sorento wait times australia Page 2

Short version: the Sorento is popular, and patience is a virtue your dealer will happily test.

In Australia, Hybrid and PHEV variants have often meant long queues—roughly 6–12+ months depending on allocation, with occasional order pauses.

Diesel and petrol models tend to be quicker—commonly a few months, but it varies wildly by trim, colour and postcode.

Model-year changeovers can reset the line, while cancelled orders sometimes drop into stock like manna from the sky.

If you’re allergic to waiting, look for near‑new or demo examples on Tradingpost; you’ll likely pay more, but you’ll have keys sooner.

Cast a wider net, talk to multiple dealers, and be flexible on colour/options—it can shave months off the ETA.
