On most KTM motorcycles, the VIN is stamped into the frame on the steering head (headstock), usually on the right-hand side just below the upper triple clamp.
You’ll often also find it on the compliance sticker/plate on the frame near the headstock; on off-road models it can hide behind plastics, so turn the bars left and use a torch.
It’s also on your rego papers and in the owner’s manual—don’t confuse it with the engine number, which is a different identifier.
If the digits are caked in crud, clean gently to reveal the 17 characters; if they’re missing or illegible, have a chat with a KTM dealer or your state authority before spinning any more spanners.
