laser car

Ah, the "laser car"—a term that sounds like the lovechild of a sci-fi flick and a dodgy sci-tech startup. If you're talking about cars equipped with laser technology, you might mean laser headlights, which are a fancy upgrade over LEDs. These bad boys offer brighter, more focused beams and can illuminate the road up to 600 meters ahead. Alternatively, you might be referring to LiDAR-equipped vehicles, where lasers map the surroundings for autonomous driving.

Prices for cars with laser headlights start at a premium—expect an extra few thousand AUD on top of the base price, often found in high-end models from Audi or BMW. Used options might be rarer but check CarShowroom or Tradingpost for listings if you’re keen.

In any case, the technology is cutting edge but not quite widespread in Australia yet, so keep your eyes peeled and your wallet ready.
