Prepping for the Queensland driving test? Good—let’s skip the waffle and aim for a clean pass.
If you’re under 25, you’ll need 100 logbook hours including 10 at night, and you must pass the online Hazard Perception Test before booking the practical. Those 25 and over can skip the logbook hours, but the HPT still applies. Bring a registered, roadworthy car with L‑plates, your licence details/logbook (app or paper), and turn up like you mean it.
On test, expect mirror–signal–shoulder checks, speed discipline, lane changes, a reverse park or three‑point turn, and a tidy hill start. Rolling stop lines, speeding, or ignoring right‑of‑way will end the party faster than a wet spark plug. Book with Transport and Main Roads, pick a quiet time, and practise until it’s boring—because boring is exactly what examiners love.
