lidl australia 2023

No, Lidl didn’t open in Australia in 2023; the bargain battlefield stayed Aldi versus the big two.

Lidl has sniffed around—trademarks, recruitment rumblings, media whispers—but no stores, no specials, and certainly no middle aisle stacked with random pressure washers.

If you want Euro-style cheap-and-cheerful, Aldi’s your current fix while Coles and Woolies play the loyalty-card tango.

Could Lidl still land here? Possibly, but in 2023 it remained a mirage on the horizon rather than a shopfront at your local centre.
