lock stitch vs blind stitch Page 3

Comparing lock stitch and blind stitch is like choosing between a reliable Swiss watch and a magician's trick. The lock stitch uses two threads interlocked in the fabric, creating a strong and durable seam visible on both sides—perfect for everything from jeans to upholstery. The blind stitch, on the other hand, cleverly hides the thread on the underside, making the seam nearly invisible and ideal for hems and delicate fabrics.

Pros of Lock Stitch:

• Strong and durable
• Works well on thick fabrics
• Easy to sew

Cons:

• Visible stitching

Pros of Blind Stitch:

• Invisible seam for a clean look
• Great for hemming

Cons:

• Less durable
• Requires skill or special machine
