longest range electric car 2023 Page 5

Chasing the EV that goes the distance like a camel with a charging port? Globally in 2023, the Lucid Air Grand Touring was the headline act, though not sold here, while Australia’s practical long-haulers were led by big-battery luxury barges.

• Lucid Air Grand Touring: up to ~830 km EPA (≈880 km WLTP), but not officially available in Australia.
• Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+: up to ~780 km WLTP in Australia, if your wallet can take the hit.
• Tesla Model 3 Long Range: up to ~620 km WLTP, efficient and common as flat whites.
• Hyundai Ioniq 6 RWD Long Range: up to ~614 km WLTP, slippery as a bar of soap in a car wash.

Real-world range depends on speed, temperature, tyres and your right foot’s optimism. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
