mazda cx-30 problems Page 2

The Mazda CX-30 is generally solid, but it’s not entirely halo-polished.

Here are issues Australian owners and recalls have flagged:

• Fuel pump recall (selected 2019–2020 builds) that can cause stalling; check VIN status with Mazda Australia.
• Infotainment quirks: intermittent Bluetooth/CarPlay dropouts and the odd Mazda Connect reboot.
• Start/stop (i‑Stop) battery wear leading to warning lights or premature 12V replacement.
• Road and tyre noise on coarse-chip bitumen, especially with 18-inch wheels.
• Paint that chips easily on the front end; highway stone rash builds quickly.
• Over‑sensitive safety aids (lane keep, Smart Brake Support) occasionally false-alarming in tight traffic.

Most examples are trouble-free; just verify recall work and listen for rattles on a long test drive.

Mazda backs it with a 5‑year/unlimited‑km warranty in Australia, so keep services on time and let the dealer earn their biscuits.
