melbourne to corryong Page 55

Melbourne to Corryong is a proper country run: roughly 430–460 km and about 5.5–6 hours if you behave.

The usual quickest route is M31 Hume Freeway to Wodonga, then the B400/C531 along the Murray Valley into Corryong.

Fuel and coffee are easy—Euroa, Benalla, Wangaratta, or Wodonga—so no need to ration the Minties.

Winter brings fog, frost and the odd alpine tantrum, and dusk means wildlife; keep your wits and headlights sharp.

Check live conditions before you go—country roads don’t care about your ETA.
