melbourne to hepburn springs Page 152

Melbourne to Hepburn Springs is an easy road trip: about 115 km northwest, roughly 1.5 hours by car via the M8/Western Freeway and Daylesford turn-offs.

Go off‑peak if you can; traffic can clump like custard around city exits, and dusk brings kangaroos auditioning for parkour.

There are service centres along the M8 for coffee and fuel, and the last stretch winds through pretty spa country—try not to arrive so relaxed you forget to park.

Check live traffic and weather before you go; country roads can be wet, foggy, or full of Sunday drivers hunting mineral water and scones.
