mitsubishi eclipse cross exceed 2023 review Page 3

The 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Exceed is the dressiest trim, all leather accents and polite tech, like it’s put on a nice shirt for school pickup. The 1.5‑litre turbo four with a CVT shuffles out about 110 kW/250 Nm to the front wheels, with AWD available if your driveway is more goat track than suburb. Around town it’s smooth and thrifty (expect roughly 7.5–8.0 L/100 km), but lean on it and the CVT drones like a vacuum chasing a raisin. The ride is comfy, steering light, and the 8‑inch screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto finally feels modern rather than museum. Boot space is family‑friendly, not furniture‑removal friendly, and the cabin insulation is decent until the tacho gets ambitious. Pros: generous kit for the money, long conditional warranty, easygoing daily manners; Cons: modest performance, CVT soundtrack, and pricing that starts to sniff at larger rivals if you tick AWD.
