mobile phone detection camera victoria

Victoria uses mobile phone detection cameras that also catch seatbelt misuse, and yes, they operate day and night across the state.

High-resolution images and AI flag the naughty stuff, then a human reviewer confirms it before any fine is mailed out.

You’ll see both fixed sites and trailer-mounted units on freeways, arterials, and the odd regional stretch—surprises keep drivers honest.

Best move: keep the phone in a legal mount, go hands-free only, and wear your seatbelt properly—cheaper than donations to the state revenue jar.
