mobile phone while driving vic Page 8

In Victoria, using a mobile phone while driving is a no-go unless it's hands-free. That means no texting, calling, or scrolling unless your phone is secured in a cradle and you're using voice commands or Bluetooth. The penalties? A hefty fine and demerit points, because the law means business to keep those distracted drivers in check.

Remember, even holding your phone at a red light is off-limits. So, if you value your license and your life (and others'), keep that phone tucked away unless it's hands-free. For the nitty-gritty, ServiceCentral is a handy resource.
